Juancho Hernangómez’s season has not been easy. The winger began the 2021/22 season in Boston, where he was barely used by Ime Udoka (18 games, 5.3 minutes). So he was sent to San Antonio in mid-January, as part of the three-team trade that sent Bol Bol to Boston and Bryn Forbes to Denver.
In Texas, the Spaniard also had no chance, appearing only five times, for 50 minutes in total. So he packed up again, just two weeks later, heading to Utah on another three-team trade, between the Jazz, Spurs and Blazers.
In Salt Lake City, Juancho Hernangómez finally got playing time, with 17.5 minutes in 17 games (including 9 as a starter), averaging 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds (43.8% in triples in 2, 8 attempts). Simple element brought from a transfer that brought mainly Nickeil Alexander-Walker to the Jazz, the Spanish player finally turned out to be a good surprise in Quin Snyder’s rotation.
In any case, he has the feeling that he got the job done during his short stay at the club. The rest does not depend on him, but he assures that the uncertainty in which he currently finds himself does not stress him.
